Cairnie's Quay is a section of coastline in the North Ayrshire town of Largs, occupying a central position along the promenade between the playpark at Mackerston and the Pencil Monument.

On land, this stretch of the promenade is a popular route for walking and cycling, with open views across the Firth of Clyde towards Great Cumbrae and the Isle of Arran. It is a well-used public space, used daily by local residents and visitors.

The quay itself extends into the water and is home to a small moorings field managed by our association. The association has an agreement with the Crown Estate to maintain moorings in water depths of up to 24 metres. We also maintain the slipway, which provides access to the water not only for boat owners but for a wide range of water enthusiasts, including paddleboarders, kayakers, scuba divers, snorkellers, wild swimmers and anglers.

The Firth of Clyde offers a wide and varied area for sailing and water activities, with relatively sheltered waters and access to destinations such as Cumbrae, Arran and the wider west coast. It is widely regarded as one of the most accessible and rewarding sailing areas in Scotland.

Cairnie's Quay is an active and shared part of the local coastline, connecting the town to the wider marine setting of the Clyde.
